How to Stay in Character Longer?

Getting into the mindset of a pup, kitten, or any other pet role is easy, but staying in that space without slipping back into “normal” mode can be tricky. I found that having a designated area with pet toys, a collar, and even a mat to sit on really helps keep the roleplay going, since the environment makes it feel more real.
